Goodyear Blimp 1:350 Scale Diecast Model Stamp

Founded in 1898, the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company entered the business of lighter-than-air balloons and aircraft during the peak of the industrial revolution in America. This move eventually led to the creation of one of the country's most enduring corporate icons - the Goodyear blimp. Primarily used for advertising and capturing aerial views of live sporting events on eaglevision, the blimp was able to display bright, multi-colored, animated words and images.

Although Goodyear had been involved in the airship business prior to the creation of the pilgrim in 1925, the pilgrim is considered the Company's first public relations blimp. The year 2015 marked the 90th year of continuous operation of the Goodyear airship program, setting a record as the longest-running and most successful in history.
